Harvest Service helps local Charity
The generosity of our whole school community to help others and to help the planet, is a continual source of inspiration: Following our usual Harvest Chapel Service we were again able to donate a large collection of food and much needed supplies to New Hope based in Watford. New Hope is one of the largest providers of homelessness services in the Home Counties, housing up to 60 people every night and supporting hundreds more every year. They also offer a range of accommodation services, and their development services help people break free from the cycle of homelessness.
At the same time we also held a Mufti Day for the Just One Tree campaign where everyone was invited to pay £2 to wear mufti. Every pound donated to this charity equates to one tree being planted, making it possible through our contributions for 1,200 trees to be planted.
This pandemic sadly is affecting so many people in so many different ways. It is therefore more important than ever that we, as a school community, continue to show our support by holding as many charitable events as can be organised safely in order to help others in our community.
