Geography Field Trip to Walton on the Naze

September 28, 2020

The Year 11 Field Trip to Walton on the Naze was designed to help pupils to consolidate and extend their appreciation of the dynamic nature of Coastal Environments and the impact that erosion can have upon coastal communities. This location provides excellent opportunities to observe coastal erosion and a variety of defenses that have been put in place together with safe and easy access to make measurements of wave energy, sediment transport and assessments of the effectiveness of the local coastal defenses.

Pupils were delighted to resume school trips that they have not been able to join in for some time. “I really enjoyed the field trip, is their any chance we can do any other field trips? ” asked a keen Zac.
