Netball Festival at Aldenham
March 11, 2016
It was the third Netball Tournament hosted by Aldenham and the sun was shining so what could possibly go wrong! Not a thing. The girls were excited about playing some high quality netball and the great atmosphere made for a fantastic afternoon’s competition with lots of fun for everyone.
Teams from the Royal Masonic, North London Collegiate, St Benedict’s and Queenswood, along with an Aldenham A and a B side played against each other, everyone enjoying the opportunity to play on the new netball surface. Congratulations to North London Collegiate who emerged the winners, with the Aldenham As placed fourth. The experience gained can only help improve everyone’s game.
The Aldenham player of the match in the A team was Abigail Maughan, and Elise Dixon- Lawrence in the B team. Well done to both of them.
At the same time seven younger teams were playing against each other in the Sports Hall in a non-competitive Netball Festival. Congratulations to Samantha Myers who was the player of the day for Aldenham Prep School.
The afternoon finished with tea and refreshments in the School Dining Hall. Roll on next year’s Netball Afternoon at Aldenham!
