Pupils follow an extensive ‘core’ programme of study, which involves work in both English Language and Literature, French, Science (taught as three separate sciences, leading to a double or triple GCSE award), Mathematics, Religious Studies, Physical Education and Information Technology. In addition, pupils choose two subjects from a wide choice, including Dance, History, Geography, Music, Art, Design Technology, PE, Drama, Spanish and German. Pupils are set in most subjects according to their past performance. Coursework is carefully guided and all pupils have access to the Information Technology Centre to support their GCSE studies. Course details for GCSE, AS and A2 including enrichment activities are detailed in the Guide to Courses, available on request.
