| 100 Caps for Ben | |
Second from right Ben Weinburg stands in front of the new cricket covers purchased with donations from Parents, OAs, Governors, Staff and Friends to the Aldenham Annual Fund.
Sports' Scholar Ben Weinburg has achieved the rare accolade of being awarded 100 caps for 1st XI Sport. Although Football is his main sport, in the 2008/09 season he captained the Football 1st XI, he has played in the 1st XI teams for football, hockey and cricket since he was in the 5th Form (Yr 11). If he plays all the 1st XI cricket matches until the end of the Summer Term his final tally of caps will be 108.
One of Ben's proudest footballing moments for Aldenham was captaining the winning team in the Plate Final in the National Independent Schools 6s Tournament; teams play on a full size pitch. He is hoping to read Sports Science at university and has recently been offered trials with two professional soccer teams in the USA.
