German exchange

On Tuesday 13th November, pupils from Aldenham joined their German exchange partners on a group outing to London. Spirits were high in spite of the autumn chill in the air, as the group took in many of the sights and sounds of the capital city. They arrived at Tower Hill and headed west along the Southbank, taking in Tower Bridge, the Tate Modern, the Millennium Bridge, the Palace of Westminster and the London Eye en route before returning to school tired but happy, having enjoyed one another’s company the opportunity to discover London.
A party of 6 pupils and 1 teacher had visited Germany on the first leg of the exchange during half term. The German exchange is in its second year now with our partner school, the Paedagogium Baden-Baden, and provides a wonderful chance to visit this beautiful part of Germany, famous for its casinos, thermal baths and proximity to the Black Forest.
