Aldenham Preparatory School is an I.A.P.S. (Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools) Day School.
Our primary aim is to provide an excellent all around education. We offer high quality teaching from enthusiastic, motivated, and caring staff. An inspection commisioned by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) praised the school:

Ofsted also found that '...the quality of teaching at Aldenham Pre-Prep & Nursery is outstanding. That in the area of helping the children make a positive contribution the provision is outstanding and the leadership and management of the nursery education is outstanding.'
'The provision for nursery education is extremely well organised and provides a stimulating environment where children are effectively supported in all aspects of their early years play and learning. Children are making excellent progress in all areas of the early learning goals.'
We believe that the pastoral care at Aldenham is second to none, providing children with a happy and safe environment in which they flourish. We also place great importance on personal and social growth and strive to ensure that our pupils are responsible members of the community.
Small class sizes and expert teaching from an early age ensure that academic attainment is high. The requirements of the National Curriculum and preparation for entry into senior schools are blended into a broad based curriculum. This, along with the dedication of our staff, enriches our children's learning and encourages them to work to the very best of their ability.
The accommodation for both Pre-Prep and Prep Departments is first class. Our pupils are resident in newly purpose built classrooms with access to their own ICT suite, Art and DT room, Music & Drama suite, library, music practice rooms, and each classroom is fitted with a fully interactive whiteboard. We are also able to share the Aldenham School campus as a whole, enabling us to enjoy use of the Sports Complex, Artificial Turf Pitch, Chapel, Dining Hall, Music School and School Theatre. This enables us to offer the unique combination of a small, one class entry structure combined with the extensive grounds and facilities of a Senior School. We have high expectations of all our pupils and we encourage initiative, independence and self-confidence. We also insist on good manners and consideration for others. We foster a strong sense of community at Aldenham.
