Aldenham Preparatory School (IAPS) offers day education for boys and girls from 3-11 to develop and thrive in a small, caring environment . Few schools can boast of such a long history as Aldenham. Founded in the 16th Century, the school has been educating children for over 400 years! However, this is a particularly stimulating time within that long history, as we are able to offer seamless continuity of education from the Nursery to the Senior School. The Preparatory School encompasses the Nursery, from the term of the third birthday, the Pre-Prep Department (4-7 years old) and the Prep Department (7-11 years old).

The Aldenham School Nursery was founded in 1992 and has developed into an extremely popular and lively place for Early Years Education, while the Pre-Preparatory Department was formally opened in 2000 and has quickly established itself as a place of excellence and care. The strong reputation of these two ventures means that the Preparatory Department has a solid foundation and a clear route into the Senior School at 11+.
