| Make Your Mark winners | |
Congratulations to the McGill's House team of Harry Blake, Alkesh Rajani, Sacheev Patel and Will Crack who, guided by their mentor Rishil Patel, emerged as the overall winners in the first leg of the national Make Your Mark competition. This hugely popular activity, involving over 38000 Year 10 pupils in 7000 teams across the country is run as part of Enterprise Week. In an X-Factor-style pitch following a single day's preparation, the winning team convinced the judges that their product, the Eco Card, was the most likely to make money and help reduce everyone's carbon footprint. Philip Green, Head of Economics and Business, said, "I have been delighted by the commitment shown by all seven teams towards the day, and am sure that many of the participants will become excellent entrepreneurs in due course. Competition was particularly fierce between the two girls' teams!" The winning entry from Aldenham has been submitted to the regional final. Good luck, guys!
