The Aldenham golf team displayed their smooth swings at Hollins Hall Golf Course in the Yorkshire Dales when they were placed 4th overall in the national matchplay tournament organised by the Independent Schools' Golf Association. The weather was difficult to manage on the first day because of the blustering winds and driving rain; however, the blue skies on day 2 allowed the young golfers to really demonstrate their skills. Matthew Wallace led the way by achieving a Gold medal and finishing 7th overall. Jason Harris and Dan Andrews won Silver and Bronze medals respectively. Mr. Boothby even came away with an impressive finish; 2nd among the 10 teachers who took part in the handicap stableford competition. Mr. Boothby was altogether impressed with how well the boys did in this national tournament. He extolled the effort of the team, "The Headmaster is overjoyed that Aldenham did so well, and the whole experience is hopefully going to raise the profile of Golf at Aldenham."
