On Tuesday 24 May 2010 in ideal sunny and wind conditions the six senior houses competed for the House Sailing Cup at Aldenham Sailing Club. Watched and encouraged by the Headmaster the house teams took part in three races and the competition was decided upon the points accrued across the three races based upon position at the end of each of the races. There was some excellent tactical sailing from some of the teams but a spirited and competitive performance by all the crews; they all did their houses credit.
The final result was as follows:-

The House Cup concluded the racing schedule for this season and was a fitting end to our racing season. Sailing will continue in the second half of the summer term and we will be focusing upon bringing on our younger sailors. Revd. Stead, at the end of the competition, paid tribute to the older pupils who were leaving the school this term and thanked them for their contributions to sailing over a number of years.
Thank you too to Miss. Matthews and Mr. Spencer for their assistance in the course of the afternoon in the running of the races and for all their commitment, hard work and help in running and promoting sailing across the whole year.
