The SCUBA club activity at Aldenham involves students gaining their Open Water qualification over a 12 week course. A program of academics is completed in order that the equipment is properly understood and that an extensive knowledge of how to be safe underwater is gained by all participants. As the weather begins to warm, students will begin their pool training where they learn all of the skills and control they will need to use in the open water. The activity culminates with a 2 day trip to Stony Cove to complete the course, diving with sunken tanks and plenty of marine life. Once completed successfully the students are certified Open Water divers and can dive anywhere in the world without the need for additional training.
