On Friday 26th March the School Chaplain Revd Dan Bond dedicated a collage of Sir Stanley Spencer's original controversial painting, The Crucifixion, which was created by 15 Aldenham students in Year 7. The original hung in the School chapel for over 30 years before being sold at Sotheby's 20 years ago for £1.3 million. The Headmaster at the time, Mr Michael Higginbottom, claimed that many visitors to the chapel came only to see the painting, as it seemed to be more important than the worship. This new work of art will be displayed in the Lady Chapel, and will evoke many memories for former pupils returning to the School.

Under the guidance of Art teacher, Mr Paul Spencer, students from Year 9 also created 14 painted wooden crosses depicting the Stations of the Cross which were also dedicated at the same time, and will hang in the chapel for perpetuity.
