Three sixth formers Jayden Spring, Josh Simon and Ben Michaelis raised a fantastic £1,200 for ‘Help for Haiti' by organising a Talent Show which took place in our theatre on 12th March. The money was raised through ticket sales, selling snacks on the evening and raffle tickets. The three boys, who are all IT students, are extremely thrilled with the monies raised as they only started working on the event two weeks ago when they set up a dedicated website to advertise the show.
In a sell-out event the audience were treated to 13 acts which included dance, singing, a comedy sketch and music as they competed for a cash prize for the winners plus a television set for their House. Many congratulations to ‘Revolution', a Martineau's rock band singing ‘School Sucks', who were voted the best act. Tom Wainwright was an excellent presenter for the evening.
