In an exciting take on the popular television show HELL'S KITCHEN, two teams of staff and students from the School fed and entertained a packed Dining Hall of guests on Saturday 20th March. The evening was organised jointly between Aldenham and our catering company, The Brookwood Partnership, to raise funds for two charities, Ripple Africa and Build Africa, which provide hope and a hand up to some of the poorest communities in the world. Our beautiful dining hall was transformed into a high class restaurant, offering guests the opportunity to select a three course meal from two menus, one designed and cooked by a team of staff chefs and the other created and cooked by students. The professionals from Brookwood were of course on hand to keep a close eye on the preparation and presentation of the delicious dishes, to ensure they came up to their high standards.
By a show of appreciation, the pupil team were declared the Top Chefs, but it was a close affair as the staff team of Mr Fowler, Mr Williams and Mrs Venter also proved themselves to be worthy Master Chefs under the expert tutoridge of Head Chef Mr Wayne Wishart.
An auction of some amazing items followed presentations by representatives from both charities. It was agreed that it had been an amazing evening and many thanks go to all the chefs, waiters and helpers as well as guests, sponsors and everyone who supported the evening to make it such a success and raise valuable funds for our two charities.
