Year 8 students Amy Flood, Sophie Selvadurai, Hashim Syed and Grace Conway were awarded second place at the Salters' Festival of Chemistry held at the University College of London's Chemistry Department on Wednesday 12^th May. 28 schools took part in this annual competition including Brentwood, University College School and Haberdashers' Aske's School for Boys. It was a great day for the Aldenham team who managed to finish the practical task in 75 minutes.  The afternoon was devoted to a fascinating chemistry lecture on the states of matter delivered by Dr Tabor.
